UV-C Disinfection

This Explorer Self-Cleaning UV Water Bottle from UVBrite is equipped with a cap featuring a top-grade quartz lens with a built-in LED that emits a special spectrum of light without using toxic Mercury to purify and disinfect the water. Unlike filters that only trap microorganisms, UV-C disinfection or ultraviolet germicidal irradiation (UVGI) works by breaking down certain chemical bonds and scrambling the structure of DNA, RNA and proteins, effectively destroying all microorganisms, mold, bacteria, pathogens and viruses by up to 99.99%. Made of food-grade materials, this cap is also outfitted with a silicone gasket to ensure a 360-degree, leak-proof seal, making it the perfect choice for home, travel and emergency use. Please note: UV-C disinfection does not eliminate physical impurities in the water, so only consume clear water.

Fill, Twist and Activate

Purifying water from any drinking source couldn’t be easier. Simply fill the Self-Cleaning Bottle with water, twist on the cap and press the touch sensor on top to activate the UV-C disinfection. The normal disinfection mode lasts for 90 seconds and can be used to ensure that water from most sources is disinfected. Simply press the touch sensor once to activate and it will light up blue. If you’re drinking stream water or water from sources that require greater disinfection, press the touch sensor twice to activate the blitz mode. This mode lasts for 180 seconds and the LED will light up magenta. Additionally, this Self-Cleaning Water Bottle provides up to 60 purification cycles (over 1,200 ounces of water) per charge!

Getting Started

Before first use, thoroughly clean the Explorer Self-Cleaning Water Bottle and lid using warm soapy water. Next, use the included USB-C cable to fully charge up the lid. It will take approximately 2.5 hours to obtain a full charge and the touch sensor will light up green while the cap is charging. Once charging is complete, the LED will turn off automatically and the Explorer Water Bottle is good to go.
